ECP Announces Official Date for General Elections: February 11, 2023


The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) officially announced to the Supreme Court that the general elections in the country are scheduled to take place on February 11, 2024.

This significant declaration came during a hearing presided over by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, where the ECP’s lawyer, Sajeel Swati, provided this key information in response to a case related to the timing of elections following the dissolution of the assemblies.

The lawyer elaborated that the allocation process, a vital step in the electoral preparations, is scheduled to be completed by November 30, paving the way for the country to move forward with the electoral process culminating on February 11, 2024.
